PowerShares is a pioneer in the ETF category. The problem was, more companies were asserting themselves as innovators in the financial space. We had to remind financial advisors that PowerShares always has and always will approach ETFs as a leader in innovation.

Everyone in the financial sector was telling more of the same old financial blah. No one was telling a story. We set out to change that with a set of films that literally and figuratively brought PowerShares to new heights.


To complement the TV spots, we created a fully interactive iPad ad that gave viewers a deeper dive into PowerShares ETFs. A digital piece so effective, it yielded 5 times the clickthrough rate of a traditional banner ad.

The campaign was a success with the numbers to prove it. PowerShares is #1 in the marketplace in cost per ad awareness. In unaided awareness, PowerShares is up 11% and they moved from #3 in the marketplace to #2. And best of all, PowerShares is a top of mind ETF provider for financial advisors far and wide.
